Hello everyone,
Welcome to week 10! There's lots to cover today so please read this whole email to make sure you have all the information you need.
Week 9 Recap:
Our dual meet against West was a huge success and we got our season high team score of 126.6!
Some highlights that deserve recognition:
Finja got a PR on every event she competed! She also joined the 8.0 club on floor! She earned an 8.225 on vault, a 6.2 on bars, and an 8.15 on floor. A triple PR is awesome!!! Congratulations Finja!
Sofia D joined the 8.0 club on floor with an 8.25!
Kylie competed floor for the first time and despite her music going out due to a technical error, she completed her routine like a champion! We are so proud of you Kylie!
Sofia G joined the 8.0 club on vault with an 8.225, joined the 33.0 all around club, and PRed on beam with an amazing 8.85!
Grace got a PR for her all around score with a 27.8, almost a full point boost above her previous max score.
Claire got a PR on beam with a whopping 8.875! WOW!
These PRs are a testament of how hard our gymnasts work. Every gymnast gave their full effort on Thursday and we are so proud of everyone.
In total, our athletes earned 3 No Fall Stars on beam and 14 Sticky Feets for stuck landings!

Every gymnast is required to attend this meet, regardless of competition status. For transportation, we will have two vans and some upperclassmen transporting kiddos.
We will be wearing the light green leo that says Spartans on the front.
Purgolder Invite:
Our invite is at Madison East High School on Saturday January 18th. We will have 2 vans transporting kiddos from Memorial to East and back. Here is the lineup:
Vault | Bars | Beam | Floor | |
Safety | Kennedy | Kennedy | Amelia | Timmia |
Alternate | Grace | Finja | Grace | Finja |
Varsity | Claire | Natalie | Sofia D | Grace |
Sierra | Amelia | Kate | Sierra
Sofia G | Kate | Genevieve | Sofia D
Finja | Sofia D | Claire | Genevieve
Genevieve | Sofia G | Sofia G | Sofia G |
With these 12 listed, the vans are currently full. Because the meet is in Madison, anyone not able to join us in the vans is welcome to join the team at East High School. I would love for as many of our team mates to come as possible.
A reminder to our alternates and safeties to still bring a leotard, braces, grips, etc. We will be wearing the black leotard with the Spartan head on the side (similar to last weekend).
There is a dress up competition associated with this invite. The theme is Y2K / start of the millenia. Timmia and Sierra will work with the team to figure out this dress up. Anyone not competing but who still is able to join us should plan to help with this dress up as well :)
At the invite, there are 4 rounds total and two divisions. We compete in the upper division. We compete in the following order:
Round 1: Floor
Round 2: Vault
Round 3: Bars
Round 4: Beam

There will be concessions available at the school. The address of the school is 2222 E Washington Ave, Madison, WI 53704.
Line Ups:
I know that line ups can cause stress and I'm always happy to talk about placements. There are pros and cons to letting the numbers dictate the line up but as scores continue to come in, the only thing that could supercede the scores are start values.
Jason's Deli Ordering:
We will have Jason's Deli as an option for our dual and the invite. Please order by Wednesday night (for the dual) and by Friday night (for the Invite).
Spaghetti Dinner:
Our spaghetti dinner this week will be Monday after practice at the Ciarletta residence. The address is 1722 Shady Point Dr., Verona, WI.
