Happy Sunday everyone,
Welcome to Week 9! It's hard to believe winter break is almost over and we will be starting to have more consistent competitions starting this week.
Here is the schedule for this week (all practice will be back at Memorial by the way): Schedule:
Monday : 3:30 - 5:30 PM Tuesday: 3:30 - 5:30 PM Wednesday: 5-7 PM with spaghetti dinner afterwards Thursday: West Dual Meet at Memorial (6 PM) Friday: 5-7 PM
Saturday: Team Sleepover (8 PM) Practice Overview:
Monday: Bars & Vault & OG
Tuesday: Floor & Beam & OG
Wednesday: Mock Meet for Beam and Floor
Thursday: Meet
Friday: Floor & Beam & OG Saturday: FUN!
Spaghetti Dinner: This week's spaghetti dinner is being hosted by the Hurley family. We will head there after practice.
West Dual Meet: Thursday we will be hosting our 2nd dual meet at Memorial against West. All of the girls worked hard over winter break on their routines and also on upgrading some of their skills. Go Spartans! Girls need to be at the gym by 4:15 to help setup. General stretching starts at 4:30 and then timed warm ups for the first two events starts at 5:00. The meet starts at 6:00, with the Memorial rotation being Vault - Bars, Beam, Floor. If your daughter wants Jason's Deli, don't forget to get that order in ASAP. Team Sleepover: I am very excited to be bringing back the team sleepover. Girls should aim to be at the school around 8:00 PM. I am working to get access to the pool so the girls should bring their swimsuits and a towel if they want to swim. We will also be playing games, painting the rock, watching movies, and more. I will get Little Caesars pizza but the girls should bring snacks and anything they want to drink. In the morning, we will likely wake up around 8:00 AM and then, for whoever is interested, we will head to Dennys for breakfast. The gym can get chilly at night so the girls should bring lots of blankets and pillows with them.
Secret Snowflake:
We will do our secret snowflake at the team sleepover. Girls should bring their gift for their snowflake to the sleepover. If they have questions about gifts or who their snowflake is, please reach out to the seniors.
That's all I can think of right now. Please reach out with questions. Cheers, -Danielle
